Reflection
Made during my time at university, this mini-game is meant to invoke the feeling of an arcade game. Similar to Pac-Man or Galaga, the player spends coins to try and get a little farther each time. The objective is to deliver packages and supplies, represented by orange squares, to locations spread across the game's play area. Players are trying to achieve the highest score they can in the set time limit.
Despite this being a challenging project, in the end, I believe what I created was quite good. It was my first foray into using the Godot engine, and I didn't make things easy for myself with the main selling point being the complicated controls of 6 degrees of movement in space.
The project could still use some fine tuning in its movement and with more time, I would have added a minimap to assist with navigation, but as an example of what I could create on a deadline, as well as being new to the struggles of game development, I'm satisfied.
